For those seeking the ideal spot for family or couples photography in or near Werribee, I strongly suggest considering a beach setting. Admittedly, the beach wouldn't have been my top pick, as I typically lean towards green spaces and parks. Nevertheless, after a wonderful couple recently chose a beach photoshoot and I had the best experience with them and it completely altered my perspective on beach photography!
The setting was beautiful and if you have children, they love the beach! There is so much space for them to run around and be themselves which makes for family photos filled with personality to best tell your family's story.
The great thing about beaches is they are beautiful no matter the season, no waiting for flowers to bloom or grass to grow.
What time should I book beach photo sessions?
Generally I recommend photoshoots taking place in the morning or evening to avoid harsh shadows. This isn't always possible with busy schedules or with young children, even during the day we can still create some beautiful images - these photos were taken midday.
Tips for photography at the beach
Pack sunscreen, hats (for before and after the session), snacks, water, towels and spare clothes
Bring a jacket in cooler months or for windy days
Be playful! Play with your children, build sandcastles and just enjoy yourselves while I capture the magic
